Welcome
Hello, and welcome to my nature photography website! I've lived most of my life in Washington state, and began hiking and camping at a young age. When I started taking solo adventures as a teenager, my dad would let me take his manual focus Canon film camera. Eventually I bought my own Nikon film camera, and spent a small fortune on slide film and processing fees.
Over the years I progressed from consumer DSLR's to prosumer models, and in 2022 was lucky enough to upgrade to Nikon's flagship mirrorless, the Z9. The stellar autofocus and high frames per second is amazing for wildlife encounters.
My favorite adventures are off-trail. The scenery isn't always the best, but I prefer the solitude and capturing photos of places that few people will ever see.
